23rd Annual Pickin' In The Pasture has been cancelled....next years dates are Aug. 26,27,28,and 29th 2021
The 23rd annual Pickin In The Pasture has been cancelled. In light of the Covid pandemic, over the past couple of months we have been working with our county health dept. to plan an event that would be safe for those attending. We prepared to implement numerous measures that would mitigate the risk of Covid infections to bluegrass fans coming to the festival. Although The Finger Lakes Region has entered phase 4 where entertainment events would be allowed, NY Gov. Cuomo has recently moved the goal posts and issued executive orders restricting attendance to 250 people. This would not even allow everyone who purchased an advanced ticket to attend let alone those fans that show up to get a ticket at the gate. In addition, the Governor imposed a mandatory quarantine of 14 days for all people entering New York from states with a high incidence of covid transmissions. This quarantine currently would affect the majority of the bands scheduled to perform. Although we anticipated a drop in attendance due to the covid situation, until now, we were determined to move ahead with Pickin In The Pasture to give the bluegrass bands an opportunity to work and the fans a place to experience some world-class bluegrass music.
REFUNDS TO ADVANCE TICKET PURCHASERS WERE MAILED OUT ON 7/13/20.
We will be working with the bands and hopefully can present a similar lineup in 2021. The dates will be August 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2021. See you next year!
