. . . . . . Plan To Attend The 17th Annual Pickin' In The Pasture . . . . . . . . . . . Aug 21, 22, 23, and 24th 2014
Come and experience four days of fun and world-class bluegrass music in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State. Pickin' In The Pasture hosts some of the finest professional bluegrass entertainment in the country. The event features legendary performers as well as exciting new artists. Pickin' In The Pasture is known as "the destination" for traditional bluegrass music in NY State by the many fans that return year after year. We appreciate the strong support that bluegrass enthusiasts have given the event as we continue to make upgrades and improvements. Pickin' In The Pasture is large enough to be able to feature a professional quality stage show yet small enough to maintain a friendly family atmosphere. Festival goers comment that the event offers the best value for the admission price in the northeast.
Many people that camp at Pickin' In The Pasture use it as their home base to visit attractions in the Finger Lakes region. While you are here be sure to tour the nearby wineries, check out the local Amish crafts and goods, throw your line in the lake or hike one of the gorges that the area is known for.
NEW THIS YEAR - FULL DAY OF WORLD-CLASS BLUEGRASS ON THURSDAY! We have noticed a lot more people around early in the afternoon on Thursday than can stay on Sunday afternoon. Therefore, we have made the decision to reduce the Sunday show to a church service and gospel performance and make a full schedule of music on Thursday. Note that this year's Thursday lineup is as powerful as Saturday so make plans to be here early! As always,
the gate will open by noon on Wednesday and tired campers are welcome to stay over on Sunday night.
Pickin' In The Pasture has the reputation for some of the best jamming in the northeast. Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, you'll find some great pickin'. The festival has become a bluegrass musician's summit where each year many of the most outstanding players and singers gather in the campground to share their talents.
The best thing about Pickin' In The Pasture is the quality of people that attend. Bluegrass folks are the greatest! Come to Pickin' In The Pasture and see what everyone is talking about.
